Artist's Description

This painting was taken from a photo of my father-in-laws ice cream parlor
Located in Burlington, Iowa people would drive for miles on Saturdays to purchase his homemade ice cream for Sunday Dinner.
He also served sandwiches and meals in the corner neighborhood establishment.

Alas it is gone now razed for a freeway and progress, this brings back fond memories of the smalltown USA neighborhoods with their own shops.
